Foi este domingo, dia 12, que decorreu mais uma edição do Prémios BAFTA de televisão, entregues pela academia britânica. A cerimónia, que galardoa os maiores talentos televisivos britânicos e internacionais, foi conduzida por Rob Beckett e Romesh Ranganathan e ficou marcada pelos momentos de humor.
A série “Top Boy” esteve em destaque no evento, a par de “The Sixth Commandment”, ambas produções inglesas nomeadas em três categorias e que conseguiram levar dois prémios para casa. “Happy Valley” estava em pé de igualdade com as séries rivais.
No entanto, das três categorias a que estava nomeada, só conseguiu triunfar com a vitória de Sarah Lancashire, na categoria de “Melhor Atriz Principal”. Já na categoria de produções internacionais, a atenção virou-se para a série francesa “Class Act”, de Olivier Demangel e Tristan Séguéla.
Apesar do favoritismo atribuído a “The Crown”, a série britânica não venceu em nenhuma categoria e acabou por sair da cerimónia sem qualquer galardão.
